Price peak among the jumping candidates

Westphalian Summer Auction with very good price structure

Münster: The 17th Westphalian Summer Auction ended on Sunday afternoon with a very good price structure. 39 horses were successfully sold to new owners at an average price of 23,019 Euros. The show jumpers were particularly popular. Cosima changed to Chinese ownership for the top price of 60,000 Euros. The most expensive dressage horse was Anna von Schlotterstein at 41,500 Euros.

In another online auction, the 46 auction candidates of the 17th Westphalian Summer Auction were offered. The show jumpers were particularly popular this Sunday afternoon. They were also on top in the race for the top price. With a knockdown price of 60,000 Euros, Cosima by Cordynox/Lancer III (breeder: Theo Ringhoff, Enningerloh; exhibitor: Sportpferde Merschformann GmbH & Co.KG, Rosendahl) was the best paid horse in the Handorf auction lot. The bay has already won several medium level tests for young show jumpers and is currently qualified for the Bundeschampionat. This likeable and highly talented Amazon will be further promoted in China in the future. These customers also won the bid for the head number 43 Quidado van de Helle by Diarado/Cassilano (breeder: Van de Helle NV, Belgium, exhibitor: Mario Maintz, Altenberge). The gelding was worth 38,000 Euros to the customers from Asia.

The most expensive dressage horse after a long bidding duel was the head number 10 Anna von Schlotterstein. The Apollon/Fürst Grandios daughter (breeder and exhibitor: Frederik Vekens, Paderborn) was worth 41,500 Euros to customers from the USA. The highly elegant mare by the Intermediaire winning Apollon is a very interesting horse for the upper dressage sport.

Of the 46 horses offered for sale, 39 were successfully sold at an average price of 23,019 Euros. This means that the average price is around 4,000 Euros higher than at the last Westphalien summer's auction in 2020. About half of the horses achieved a knockdown price of 20,000 Euros and more. There was great interest from customers from abroad. Not only the two price peaks changed hands to foreign customers. A total of 18 horses will continue to be promoted outside of Germany. Customers from Sweden were particularly successful, securing three young talents from the dressage lot. "Already during the auction period, the popularity of the auction candidates was reflected in the good attendance in Münster-Handorf. We are pleased about the great interest of customers both from the online world and from our regular customers, who always remain loyal to us," said Auction and Marketing Manager Thomas Münch.

The next online auction of the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch is already scheduled for tomorrow evening. 32 foals will be offered for sale. The BidUp starts at 7.30 pm.
